Day 3 – P90X Shoulders and Arms, Ab Ripper X

I write this with my laptop on my lap so I don’t have to raise my arms to the desk to type. My arms are spent! Being the first day of this workout, with each exercise I wasn’t sure how much weight to do (or attempt to do) and had to pause the DVD and change weights several times. I’m glad I use the tracking sheets as this will allow me to focus more on the workout and less on changing weights next week. I learned through ChaLEAN Extreme how important it is to write down the number of repetitions I did, the amount of weight I used and if I need to do more or less (+/-) on the next round or week. This makes my transitions between exercises more efficient.

The Ab Ripper X workout is definitely extreme! I thought I had strong abs, but this workout proves I am really a novice. My goal is to do better every time.

Check back tomorrow for my post on Yoga X. I am looking forward to the deep stretching and deep breathing exercises.
