Sticking with P90X and getting results
So happy to see you again. Wishing you more happy health!

A lot has been going on in my life over the past couple of weeks and I got a little off track with my P90X schedule. I have not stopped, but I am off track. I should be starting week seven, but instead I am going to be on week 6. The reality of it is that sometimes life does not go as planned and we have to adjust course as we go along.
Last night my husband and I did P90X Legs & Back. It is a serious workout and major calorie burner! It was a hard workout for me and I was struggling to complete my pull-ups and chins ups. My husband who was standing behind me told me, with much enthusiasm, that my back is looking great. I thought it was a nice compliment and I appreciated his kind words, but really thought he was just trying to encourage me to keep going. We got through the workout and went on with our evening and I did not give it another thought. While we were getting ready for bed, my husband asked me to flex my back muscles so he could take a picture and show me how my back looks. He took the picture with his iPhone, so the quality is not the best, but I was amazed and delighted to see how much definition my back IS getting. I really had no idea! The biggest improvement I see is in the definition and less fat in the lower back and sides. I’m not quite as ‘fleshy’ as I was before. I know that by continuing with P90X and my additional cardio, I will continue to see results. It is working, because I am working!
I am sharing this photo and story because I want you to remember that there will be times when you get off track and you feel tired, unmotivated or struggle with your workout. There will also be times when you feel like all the effort is not working – when all the time you just weren’t able to see it. I don’t see my back all the time, so I had no idea how much I have improved there.
I will continue on my P90X mission and although I will not finish in exactly 90 days, I will finish. Too many people give up. I will not give up! Don’t you give up either!!
